Pastor John, his wife Tammy, and their two sons have been members of the Bethel United Methodist Church for over 25 years. Pastor John was recently named the Campus Pastor for our Gaylordsville North Campus after serving as Assistant Pastor of Outreach and Evangelism in our Bethel South Campus. This new role and honor comes from years of serving God through serving others.

Pastor John was the volunteer Youth Minister for both of our Jr. & Sr. High for 10 years. He has been serving with the Appalachia Service Project for 16 years, and was blessed to be a summer chaplain in the summer of 2016. He is involved with Project Return, Americares, Homefront, Rebuilding Together and Habitat for Humanity. He is member of both the Fairfield County Emmaus and Tres Dias communities.

Pastor John served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and is a member of the Marine Corps League Ridgefield Detachment. He is a member of the Staff Parish Relations Committee and the Co-Chair of Outreach. He is also a board member of the Bethel Community Food Pantry.

Pastor John is a certified Stephen Minister and is enrolled in the  Vet to Vet training program for Hospice as well as working on the Methodist Course of Study to become a local licensed Pastor.

When not at church Pastor John loves to spend time with his family. He currently works full time as the Shipper for Ring’s End Lumber at their Wilton location where he also runs their company wide Toys for Tots program.
